Even if I haven't done anything over here in a long time.

But anyway, I actually have been really busy. I just revealed the cover for Light Runner, my third science fiction novel, and announced a contest where you can design your own arkin (creatures from the series) to win a plush of your design.

I'm also getting ready for C2E2 in two short weeks, and beyond that, there's a ton of other stuff I'll be doing this year.

So, in conclusion, I am alive, even if my Newgrounds page is a bit dead.

In just one week, I head to NYC for BookCon 2017. I've been working like crazy getting ready for the event. It's the largest one I've ever done, and wow, did it feel overwhelming 95% of the time I was plowing through prep work.

But, it's finally (almost) here.

I'm getting some last few things ready, but I have books, posters, keychains, t-shirts, and plush all ready to go. What kind of plush you ask? Arkin plushies, of course!

Arkins are a species that appear in my science fiction novels. I have the 5 bigger plush shown above, plus 30 beanies, so 35 in total (... in case you couldn't do the math yourself). They took a shitload of work, but they are done and ready to be purchased at the event.

I'm moving at the end of the month, and it's looking like I will need to put my Etsy shop on hold until I get settled. Today, though, I'm here to say that after a successful Kickstarter campaign (and thank you again @NicholasCabraja for letting me use your awesome music in the video!), my second novel and the second installment of the Star Hunters series is officially live and available for purchase. Unbroken Light is the continuation of the story set up in Chasing Shadows (which was nominated for the 2015 Cygnus Awards!!). Unbroken Light delves deeper into the Star Hunters universe, digs further into the motivations of the characters, visits new places in the galaxy, and gives you plenty of gun-slinging, space-fairing, bounty hunting action to keep you entertained. If you're into that, that is. I certainly am. Obviously.

You can pick up a copy of Unbroken Light (and Chasing Shadows) from Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Nobel, Kobo, the Apple iBook store, and CreateSpace. Ebooks are available from all sites except CreateSpace, which is paperback-exclusive. You can also buy paperback copies from Amazon.

I'm very excited to be able to share this next book with everyone. It took a lot of work but the end product was worth it. I've grown a lot since my first book, and I can't wait to bring book #3 to everyone, but that's a link-heavy post for another day.

It's been an emotional 30 days (for me, at least!), but we're finally coming to the end of the Kickstarter campaign for Unbroken Light. At 7 PM EDT, the campaign will be over. If you want to join in, this is your last chance!

Since we hit both the minimum funding and the stretch goal, backers new and old who pledge for the $15 or more tiers will recieve one bookmark and one custom-cut brass keychain as bonus "Thank you" items. I'm really excited to get these keychains made. They should be really, really cool. But just being able to get everything I hoped to get made... that's beyond words. Thank you everyone who helped the campaign reach this point. It's truly amazing.

Well, pretty much as the subject line says. AND I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

The Kickstarter campaign for Unbroken Light officially hit its funding goal last night thanks to some very generous backers. All the backers are amazing, though. The campaign would not be where it is without each and every one of them. I could say "Thank you!" to them until Armageddon and it really wouldn't be enough.

But you know what? There's still 9 days left on the campaign. If anyone wants to join in on the action, now's the time to do it! And if the campaign can hit its stretch goal of $4,000, I'm going to get custom-cut metal keychains made. If that happens, the keychains will be add-on rewards for anyone who wants them, but all backers who pledge at the $15+ tiers will get one for free!

Whether we hit that goal or not, though, it's really incredible to be at this point. More than ever, I'm really looking forward to the day when I can get all of the rewards together and mail them out to backers. 9 more days, and that will be a reality!! :D

The Kickstarter campaign for my second novel is over the halfway point, with just over 12 days to go. We are up to 75% funding thanks to the amazing backers who have already pledged, but now is a great time to jump onboard. Pledging as little as $5 gets you both of my books in ebook format, and $25 gives you the ebooks + signed hardcopies. There's a bunch of other merchandise up for grabs as well, including posters and t-shirts. Get 'em while they're hot!!

I'd really appreciate any and all support for the proejct, and if you like adventure science fiction featuring badass bounty hunters, giant space armies, dragon-cat alien companions, and plenty of action, pledging will give you advance access to Unbroken Light as well as the first book, Chasing Shadows. Every little bit helps!!
